What is antenna effect ?
During
fabrication etching is done and in that process the metal areas are
exposed to the ionized gases. These are all static charges and leads to
the static electric field and results in voltage and if that voltage is
greater than the oxide breakdown voltage than it may break the channel
between the gate and substrate. This we call as the antenna effect.
How antenna effect can be avoided ?
By layer hopping and by adding the antenna diode.
